Suntory Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, President: Nobutada Saji) is to release “PEPSI BLUE” as a lineup of PEPSI and exclusive to this summer from June 22, 2004 nationwide across Japan. Suntory is to operate new campaigns for PEPSI nationwide across Japan. The “Beckham Wall Pocket Collection” on-pack campaign starts from the middle of June 2004, and the “Get! MLBTMMajor Leaguer Original Goods” on-pack campaign starts from the end of June, 2004. • New Release “PEPSI BLUE” “PEPSI BLUE” has attracted huge public attention after being released at over 40 countries around the world, including the U.S and Europe. This summer, “PEPSI BLUE” will be finally released in Japan as well. With bright “blue” color, its content offers fresh carbonated stimulation and refreshing after-taste. “PEPSI BLUE” can be drunk abundantly, as suited for hot summer. It is a new cola tasted beverage. For packaging, the “BLUE” logo is symbolically and centrally placed with the keynote of “blue” color, which characterizes the product with some impacts. The product is designed and produced with the refreshing and novel design. This summer, Suntory hopes to have customers take notice of this new cola tasted beverage, “PEPSI BLUE”. PEPESI will continue to provide the new cola world and lay a path of new trends and winds. • “Beckham Wall Pocket Collection” on-pack campaign From the middle of June 2004, an each original “Beckham Wall Pocket” will be given to each purchased 1.5L plastic bottle of “PEPSI TWIST”, “DIET PEPSI TWIST”, “PEPSI COLA”, and “DIET PEPSTI”. The “Beckham Wall Pocket” is the mini pocket in the style of wall ornament, which can be used by attaching the upper and lower parts of the several pockets. It is really useful for sorting out small ornaments and post cards, which can be enjoyed by many people. There are four designs of the pocket in total. A picture of the football player David Beckham is printed on each pocket as one-point design. • “Get! MLBTM Major Leaguer Original Goods” on-pack campaign This campaign is the unique project of “PEPSI”, which is the official sponsor of “American Major League Baseball (MLB)”. From the end of June 2004, each “Major Leaguer Original Goods” is given to each purchased 500ml plastic bottle of “PEPSI TWIST” and “DIEST PEPSI TWIST”. “Major Leaguer Original Goods” consist of two versions: the version with a motif of 7 different popular players in each of the “American League” and the “National League” of MLB; the original version with a motif of PEPSI Man. For prizes, there are 6 types of figures and aluminum plates (with each player’s profile), in respective shapes of a uniform (two-piece), cap, ball, glove, and undershirt. Thus, there are 90 types of prizes in total.
