Suntory is to release “Drink & Eat” Wines by Vinival

Suntory Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, President: Nobutada Saji) is to release 4 types of “Drink & Eat” wines, produced by French company Vinival, from July 20, 2004 throughout Japan.

Labels of the newly released wines, “Drink & Eat”, have unique designs with a concept of the perfect marriage between wines and foods. Each type of bottles has either “beef”, “fish”, “pork” or “seafood” prints, covering the entire bottles. This way, customers at stores and restaurants can easily understand the compatibilities between wines and foods.

Vinival is a French wine producer located in Loire valley. For its unique concept, it has enjoyed high reputation from people around the world.

• Outline of the Product

“Drink & Eat, Beef” (Red)
It is a red wine with strong taste, blended with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The entire bottle has “beef” prints on, appealing for its compatibility with “beef” dishes.

“Drink & Eat, Fish” (White)
It is a white wine with sharp sour taste and herb-like light flavor of Sauvignon Blanc. It perfectly matches fish dishes.

“Drink & Eat, Pork” (Red)
It is a mild red wine with fruity taste of Merlot. It matches comparatively simple pork dishes and tastes better with such dishes.

“Drink & Eat, Seafood” (White)
It is a mild white wine with fresh and sour taste of Muscadet. It matches fish dishes well.

Customers often find it difficult to select wines. Suntory hopes that wine bottles with the prints can directly appeal to the customers. As a result, it is hoped their demand for wines will surge.
