Suntory to Release new “Bowmore” wood finish selections
“Bowmore Dusk” & “Bowmore Dawn”
- Superb cask aging single malt whisky -

Suntory Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, President: Nobutada Saji) is to release new signature selections of wood finish single malt whisky, “Bowmore Dusk” and “Bowmore Dawn,” from Tuesday 24 August nationwide across Japan.

Single malt whisky is bottled using only raw base from a “single” distillery. As climate and weather exert a great influence over maturation of whisky, each distillery is characterized with unique fragrance and taste. In a stagnant liquor market, single malt whisky has shown an estimated growth of more than double in ten years, and is expected to develop further.

“Bowmore” is deep-and-powerfully flavored single malt Scotch, balancing smoky relish unique to Islay malt with tasty expression. Subtle fragrance of ocean salt-winds assures “Queen of the Islay Malt” of its nobleness.

“Bowmore Dusk” and “Bowmore Dawn” add new faces to the wood finish “Bowmore” selections. Wood finish is a production method being aged then transferred in a unique finishing barrel, whose character is strongly reflected in the fragrance and relish of the whisky. “Bowmore Dusk” is deliberately finished in Bordeaux wine casks, whereas “Bowmore Dawn” in Port barrels for more than two years.
