Scotland Single Malt Whiskies “The Macallan” Renewal
“The Macallan Fine Oak” 4 types”: Newly Released Worldwide
Suntory Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Japan / President: Nobutada Saji) renewed the packages of “The Macallan”, the Scottish malt whiskies labeled as the greatest, to bring out stylish and premium images of the whiskies. Suntory also newly released the new series of “Fine Oak”, consisting of four types, on Friday October 1st Japan nationwide.
“The Macallan” is a series of single malt whiskies at their highest peak, loved by whisky lovers around the world for long time. Its production adheres to important details, such as the quality of barley, the shape and sizes of pot still and the types of casks used. Moreover, the whiskies are stored in the carefully selected sherry casks. After this vatting procedure, the whiskeys are stored in large casks for maturization. In England, “The Macallan” is admired as “the Rolls Royce of malt whiskies”.

The renewal was implemented worldwide in the expanding single malt whisky market by Macallan Company. Its design was changed into more stylish and luxurious designs whilst maintaining the high-quality content as in the past.
The single malt whisky market has been witnessing growth in Japan, too. Especially, the market demand for “The Macallan”' has been soaring. Suntory is pursuing to build more cosmopolitan images and take active roles so that customers in their twenties and thirties can enjoy the taste of “The Macallan”.
