Suntory Co. Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka City, Japan / President: Nobutada Saji) is to newly release specified health food “ SUNTORY - Mizu Mizu Sia -” in Kanto and Koshinetsu region of Japan, starting from the 22nd of March, 2005.

The number of adult diseases in Japan has grown in these recent years, as for the changes in lifestyle and the fast aging society. Especially the number of patients with diabetes has increased steadily every year, and there has been said that there are total of 1.6 million patients in Japan when number of diabetes-to-be are also counted. Diabetes lies in close with blood sugar and beverage market related to “blood sugar” has also been growing every year.

Suntory focused on this steady growth and has pursued product research and development with in this new category of functional beverages. As a result, “ Suntory - Mizu Mizu Sia “, which is a functional water relating to blood sugar as specified health food, is to be newly released.

“Suntory - Mizu Mizu Sia-” helps to improve eating habit for those who care their blood sugar level. It calms the absorption of sugar by the functions of dietary fiber (Non-digestible dextrine), when drank while having meals. Also, it contains ocean deep water, which enable us to supply Magnesium easily. “Suntory- Mizu Mizu Sia” offers mild taste that goes well with any meals.
