Suntory, Nestlé Japan Group Agree to Imported Mineral Water
Partnership between Suntory and Nestlé Waters
--Suntory to Sell Perrier, S.PELLEGRINO, ACQUA PANNA Brands from January 2006--

Suntory Limited (Head Office: Osaka; Nobutada Saji, President) and Nestlé Japan Group (Head Office: Kobe; José Lopez, CEO) have agreed to a partnership between Suntory and Nestlé Waters to import natural mineral water to Japan.

Through this partnership, Suntory will begin importing and selling the Perrier, S.PELLEGRINO and ACQUA PANNA brands in January 2006. In addition, beginning in December 2005 Suntory will begin directly importing from Nestlé Waters of France the Vittel and Contrex brands that Suntory already sells in Japan.

Suntory has enjoyed a cooperative relationship with the Nestlé Japan Group since 2003. The two beverage leaders are further strengthening their relationship, bringing the Perrier, S.PELLEGRINO and ACQUA PANNA brands to the Japanese market by concluding an exclusive business partnership agreement between Suntory and two Nestlé Waters companies

Perrier
Perrier is one of the top international brands of carbonated mineral water, and the share leader in sales value in many countries. Perrier water comes from Vergeze, in the south of France.
This water features a hardness level of 401, provides calcium, magnesium and other minerals, and is sold in three varieties: Regular, Lemon and Lime

S.PELLEGRINO
S.PELLEGRINO carbonated mineral water is characterized by very fine carbon dioxide bubbles. This water comes from the Brembo Valley, situated at the foot of the magnificent Italian Alps, approximately 70 km northeast of Milan, Lombardy, Italy.
It features a hardness of 674 with calcium, magnesium and other minerals.

ACQUA PANNA
This is a light and velvety smooth non-carbonated natural mineral water. It comes from a village called Scarperia in a hilly region 25 km north of Florence in Tuscany, Italy, also famed for its wine. This is a softer water, with a hardness of 108.

In addition to Japan's leading brands Suntory Tennensui (Minami-Alps) and Suntory Tennensui (Aso), Suntory offers 100% Shinsosui with water from the depths of the ocean. The imported mineral waters Vittel and Contrex, available since 2003, are enjoying growing sales.
