Suntory Debuts Champagne Laurent-Perrier

Suntory Limited is pleased to announce the sale of imported Laurent-Perrier champagne through a partnership with this leading French champagne house. Starting April 2, 2007 seven Laurent-Perrier offerings, including GRAND SIÉCLE and BRUT L-P, will be available.

Laurent-Perrier enjoys a reputation as one of the world's top five champagne houses. Champagnes from these renowned estates are enjoyed in more than 120 countries. Laurent-Perrier selections have been awarded an "Outstanding" five-start rating by acclaimed wine critic Robert Parker, but that's not all; it is also the official champagne of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association for the promotion of noted hotels and restaurants, an internationally recognized authority. These and other honors attest to the champagne's exceptional quality and taste. A regard for the best production techniques calls for painstaking efforts in the winemaking, using the traditional maceration* method employed for rosés.

By introducing the Laurent-Perrier brand in Japan, where the champagne market is growing steadily, Suntory hopes to provide an even more reliable source of champagne from a world-renowned brand with superb offerings.

Laurent-Perrier ALEXANDRA ROSÉ
Mellow aromas and a subdued salmon-pink color imparted by maceration are the hallmarks of ALEXANDRA ROSÉ. Seeking a true "rosé champagne," former company president Bernard de Nonancourt introduced this vintage on the occasion of his elder daughter Alexandra’s marriage. Produced exclusively with pinot noir and chardonnay.

Laurent-Perrier GRAND SIÈCLE
The premier Laurent-Perrier champagne, with a name meaning "grand century." Blended from three years of outstanding harvests from distinguished grand cru villages and aged for about five years. A fine example of the culmination of Laurent-Perrier's technique of assemblage.

Laurent-Perrier BRUT L-P
A champagne representing the standard house style of Laurent-Perrier. Seeking freshness led the house to adopt stainless steel tanks before others in the Champagne district, as well as other innovations. Primarily chardonnay, this blend offers freshness, elegance, and appealing balance.

Laurent-Perrier ROSÉ
Noted for the beautiful color and fruity aromas and tastes afforded by maceration.

Laurent-Perrier ULTRA BRUT
Very ripe harvests of excellent grapes are carefully selected, without any added sugar (dosage) whatsoever. An exquisite balance of delicateness and freshness.

Laurent-Perrier MILLÉSIMÉ
A vintage champagne strictly limited to the best years. Aged for at least six years, MILLÉSIMÉ offers a fresh and elegant taste.

Laurent-Perrier DEMI-SEC
Slightly sweet, with an aroma recalling honey and almonds. An excellent choice to enjoy with deserts.
