Suntory Musashino Brewery
New Facilities Completed
Establishing a production system to respond more quickly
to market needs
Suntory Limited has undertaken a complete overhaul of facilities at the Suntory Musashino Brewery in Fuchu, Tokyo. The work was finished on Monday, March 12.
Suntory Musashino Brewery began operation in April 1963 as the company’s first beer brewery. It has produced a large number of Suntory products, including The PREMIUM MALTS, which won the Grand Gold Medal in the beer category at the Annual Monde Selection for two consecutive years.
The complete overhaul of facilities that Suntory has recently completed was carried out to further strengthen the company’s ability to develop products and enhance quality in beer operations. Installation of the latest facilities means a production system can be established to respond more quickly to market needs. Specifically, the overhaul allows flexible development of a diverse range of products over the long term and will shorten the time between product development and the start of production.
Environmentally friendly production technology has also been used to reduce carbon dioxide emissions substantially.
