Edo period
This relatively thick plate has a radically shaped dimensional surface. On the inside surface, large peonies are painted in purple, and the stems and leaves in green. The butterfly on top is painted in deep blue, the wings in yellow, and the antennae in red. The back of the plate is divided into equal sections following the impressed shape, and three different geometric patterns are painted alternately, using overglaze enamel. In the center of the foot on the bottom, there is an ink inscription "fuku"
, which is further coated with green overglaze.
