The rim is softly shaped in the form of an eight-petalled flower. The side is slighted graded. The inside surface is decorated with an overall seigaiha (wave crest) pattern, which is painted in black on a yellow ground. Against this, a pine tree and plantain leaves are painted in green and deep blue with strong brush strokes. The circumference is decorated with black band pattern on yellow ground, which is further surrounded by another band of misshapen seigaiha pattern in black on a green ground. The rim is outlined in black. In the center of the foot on the bottom, there is the inscription "fuku" . The opposite surface is decorated with three painted chrysanthemums placed at even intervals and a fine arabesque peony design, on which yellow overglaze is applied.
