The thick, square covered box is elaborately shaped. On the surface of the pure white ground of the cover, a camellia branch rests on a piece of fabric that is painted in red, green, yellow, and black. The side is decorated with a comb-teeth motif of yellow and green. Since the ornamental box is not for practical use, it is intricately shaped and decoratively painted with an overglaze. This box reflects the philosophy of Tomimoto Kenkichi's ceramic art work.
