This is a ceramic object with a metallic luster. The smoothly curved surface has rounded protrusions at the bottom and in front. The rim is pointed sharply in opposite directions. Departing from traditional Kiyomizu ware, Takiguchi invented the technique of beating and extending ceramic plates. What this object represents cannot be put into words, but it does reflect the trend of this artist's creative activity in 1989. Takiguchi once declared that he would "continue making objects with results but without conclusions."
