An uneven, octagonal wickerwork pattern covers the entire surface of the thick three-tiered boxes, one of which looks slightly yellow. The cut edge is rounded by grinding and polishing ; however the cutting technique is not as refined, and does not exhibit the perfection usually found in Satsuma cut glass.
