The museum shop of Japan's long-cherished traditional items together with modern articles and the cafe with menus to enhance the season or the current exhibition will double the fun for every visitor, as the name suggests; this integration of a shop and cafe supervised by Ms. Fumi Kimura, an active leader in the food and environmental fields, hotel art direction and more.
With the concept of "Japanese Modernism - Elegance in Life", the Shop features a wide variety of the Museum's original goods, such as tableware, cups & glasses, room décor, and stationery, designed based on the Collection, facility, and logo, to brighten up everyday life.
The Cafe will be run by "Fumuro-ya", an well-known establishment (since 1865) of Kaga-fu (Kaga style wheat-gluten cakes) from Kanazawa. With extra care into food, tableware, and reception, lunch and dinner menus will be offered along with warm hospitality for a quality dining experience.
