"A good hall creates good music, fosters good musicians, and nurtures a good audience." Inspired by these words by the late Yasushi Akutagawa, Suntory Hall engages in diverse activities in an effort to cultivate a music culture. The contents and quality of our education program have become more substantial with improved facilities and state-of-the-art equipment following renovations in 2007.
Area 1 Spreading the joy of classical music to the younger generation
Area 2 Invitation to a rich life
Area 3 Fostering young artists
Forging a partnership with Carnegie Hall for educational programs Suntory Hall will present Carnegie Hall’s Education Program, unparalleled in both its depth and breadth, in which 100,000 people participate annually in the US. “Carnegie Kids”, aimed at 3-to 6-year old pre-school children, will start in 2008 and “Professional Training Workshops” targeting music college students, will start in 2009.
