Yamazaki 25 Years Old takes World's Best Single Malt Whisky prize at the World Whiskies Awards 2012
----- Yamazaki has been selected as world's best single malt whisky for two consecutive years -----

At the World Whiskies Awards 2012, an international whisky competition, Yamazaki 25 Years Old was awarded the World's Best Single Malt Whisky prize.
Following in 2011 awarded with Yamazaki 1984, Yamazaki whisky has been selected as world's best single malt whisky for two consecutive years.

FY2011 awards

The 16th International Spirits Challenge 2011
Suntory Single Malt Whisky Yamazaki 1984 and Hakushu Bourbon Barrel win Gold Medals.
Suntory Awarded for 9th Year in a Row since 2003.

At the International Spirits Challenge 2011, an international liquor competition, the Single Malt Whisky Yamazaki 1984 basked in the glory of a third award year running, following on a Gold Medal in 2009 and the Supreme Champion Spirit award in 2010.
Simultaneously, the Single Malt Whisky Hakushu Bourbon Barrel, released last year, won the first Gold Medal.

FY2010 awards

Yamazaki 1984 was honored with the top product prize "Supreme Champion Spirit" and Suntory Liquor named "Distiller of the Year" at the international Spirits Challenge, an international Liquor Competition in the UK.
-----Two brilliant achievements that are both firsts within the Japanese industry.

After being designated a top trophy winner in the ‘Whiskies’ category at the 15th International Spirits Challenge 2010*1, an international liquor competition, Yamazaki 1984 went on to win the Supreme Champion Spirit accolade, an award given to a single product selected from among the trophy winners in all categories. It was the first time for a Japanese company to receive the honour. Suntory Liquors Ltd. also became the first Japanese company to be designated Distiller of the Year, an honour awarded to one distiller that has endeavoured to produce a rich array of high-quality products.
