Life Partner DAKARA marketed.

Suntory Yamazaki Whisky Museum opened at the Yamazaki Distillery.

Tomi 1996, Suntory's premium wine, presented with the Champion award at an international competition.

2001

Lipton tea released under an agreement with Nippon Lever, K.K. (current Unilever Japan K.K.) for joint operation of the Lipton tea business.

Tomi Noble Rouge 1976, Japan's first "red" noble rot grape wine marketed in limited quantities.

Full-fledged operation of Suntory Brewing (Kunshan) Co., Ltd., a second brewery for the Shanghai beer business, commenced.

Suntory's flower business separated and Suntory Flowers, Ltd. established.

Kuromaru, a genuine shochu made in collaboration with the renowned Hamada Shuzou Ltd. shochu distillery in Kagoshima prefecture, released.

Importing and sales of Bouchard Père & Fils and William Fèvre wines initiated.

Sales of wines by the E.&J. Gallo Winery initiated.

Importing and sales of Freixenet sparkling wine initiated.

Suntory Single Malt Whisky YAMAZAKI 12 Years Old captures a Gold Award at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) in the United Kingdom.

"Suntory, Bringing Water to Life" instituted as the Corporate Message.

All domestically brewed Suntory beers and happoshu now "made with 100 percent natural water".

Suntory -196°C Chu-hi released.

Suntory Single Malt Whisky YAMAZAKI 18 Years Old wins Japan's first Double Gold Award at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SWSC), an international liquor festival.

Suntory Single Malt Whisky YAMAZAKI 50 Years Old made from carefully selected key malt and matured for an ultra-long term released.

The Premium Malt's wins Japan's first Grand Gold Medal in the Selection of Beers division at the 44th Monde Selection. (It was the medium-sized bottle that received the award.)

Discoveries, a chilled cup coffee, released in a tie-up with Starbucks Corporation.

Perrier, S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna imported natural mineral waters released in a business tie-up with NestléWaters.

Suntory Single Malt Whisky HAKUSHU 18 Years Old released and selected for a Gold award at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC).

Pepsi Nex released.

Kuro (Black) Oolong Tea specified health beverage released.

2007

New Suntory Museum of Art opened in Tokyo Midtown.

Kanagawa Ayase Plant, Suntory Beverage Products Limited, completed as a food production base in the Tokyo Metropolitan area.

Laurent-Perrier and Henriot champaign brands released.

All shares of Izutsu Maisen K.K. acquired.

Midorie environmental greening business initiated.

Mizu no Chi ["Wisdom of Water"] (Suntory) corporate sponsored research program inaugurated by Suntory and the University of Tokyo.

Suntory Whisky HIBIKI 30 Years old captures the Trophy, the highest award, at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) for the third consecuctive year, becoming the first four-time winner in the competition's history.
