Suntory Limited (Head Office: Osaka; Nobutada Saji, President) will begin construction on a new food production plant in Ayase City, Kanagawa Prefecture on Tuesday, December 20, and aims to complete the facility by spring 2007. The company Suntory Beverage Products Limited (Head Office: Ayase City, Kanagawa Prefecture) was founded in September 2005 to operate the planned new factory. The official name of the plant will be "Suntory Beverage Products Limited Kanagawa Ayase Factory."

Functions of the new factory will include PET container molding, contents manufacturing, filling and packaging, equipment maintenance, quality control and production management. The latest equipment and technology will ensure efficient production of high-quality products. The facility will serve in many ways to fulfill the concept of an "urban factory resonating with people and nature."
