Construction on Third Tennensui Water Source Starts at Suntory Natural Water Products Buna No Mori Plant in Okudaisen Area


Construction on the new Buna No Mori Plant for natural water began on Friday, October 27. The plant, to be managed by Suntory Group company Suntory Natural Water Products Limited, is located in the Okudaisen area of Tottori Prefecture. Construction is expected to be finished by the spring of 2008.

The new plant is being built at the foot of mountains in the Okudaisen area to ensure a stable supply of fresh water for Suntory Tennensui products. Outstanding water from this rich natural environment, handled under strict hygienic conditions, will be offered in natural, safe, and tasty water products after integrated processing here, which will include production of PET plastic bottles, filling and packaging, and quality control.

Under the corporate slogan "Water for Life, Suntory," the company is aiming for an eco-friendly plant in harmony with the local community and natural environment, a plant that treats water as a precious resource while protecting the natural environment that produces it.
