

Suntory Ltd. has renewed the flavor and packaging for its Malt's brand beer. The new beer will go on sale on Tuesday, April 10.
Ever since Malt's first hit store shelves in 1986, Suntory has insisted on that it have the "delicious flavor of 100% malt." With its new Malt's Beer, Suntory has further pursued the delicious taste of 100% malt, this time resulting in a smooth, deep flavor that lingers on the palate.
To achieve the smooth, deep, lingering flavor of its new Malt's, Suntory 1) increased the use of Nijo barley malt, rich in "umami," resulting in a deeper flavor; 2) revisited the way it uses hops, realizing an easy-to-drink fragrant hop flavor; and 3) increased brewing time to further draw out the richness of the malt beer.
