Established in 1824, The Macallan Distillery is a traditional producer of whisky admired worldwide for the memorable fragrance and taste imparted by uncompromising aging practices.

The Macallan 55 Years Old, Six Pillars Collection combines carefully selected malt whiskies that have been matured for 55 years or longer in precious Spanish oak sherry casks. This fine single malt whisky is packaged in a beautiful crystal glass decanter of original design. A limited offering of 100 bottles is available in Japan. Aficionados of single malt scotch whisky will recognize this as a rare and perhaps long-awaited chance to acquire a masterpiece.

Taste

The marvelous effects of aging in exceptional oak casks-one of the distillery's six pillars of whisky making-are evident in this scotch whisky. Carefully selected Spanish oak sherry casks impart the distinctive sweet, dry-fruit fragrances and flavors of The Macallan. The peaty smokiness in the gently lingering finish is only possible from long-term aging under these conditions.
