The Suntory Group conducts various operations aimed at creating a rich, pleasurable world of food and drink, and at suggesting new eating and drinking environments. One of our Group companies, Dynac Corporation, operates approximately 300 eating and drinking establishments, including the 'Hibiki' Japanese restaurant chain, that respond in various ways to current trends, tastes and needs. Another Group company, Pronto Corporation, deploys uniquely configured outlets, mainly under the franchise system, that operate as cafés during the daytime and as bars in the evening. In the fast-food field, Suntory Group operations include the 'First-Kitchen' restaurants and the Japanese franchise operations of 'Subway', the number-one U.S. sandwich shop chain. We operate 19 restaurants overseas, moreover, mainly in Mexico and the Asian region, to introduce the abundant appeal of Japanese cuisine.
In the planning field, Myu Planning & Operators Inc. draws on know-how acquired through these Group food service operations to provide optimal suggestions in areas from restaurant development and operation to real estate brokerage and store design.
Dynac Corporation
Dynac Corporation operates restaurants, Japanese-style pubs and bars with varied characters. These include the relaxing 'Hibiki' restaurants, where customers enjoy Japanese "nouveau cuisine" adapting various Asian cooking techniques to traditional Japanese cooking and made with select ingredients, and the 'Zenmaru' and 'Toridori' restaurants. Dynac Corporation also conducts consigned management of restaurants at golf courses and resorts.
Pronto Corporation
Pronto Corporation relies mainly on the franchise system to disseminate its innovative 'Pronto' café bars featuring different daytime and nighttime personalities that enables customers to enjoy beverages and meals in pleasant surroundings suited to the hour. Pronto's goal is to offer intimate, relaxing environments reminiscent of an Italian bar, French café or British pub. The company is also developing the 'Caffè Solare' chain, among other activities.
First-Kitchen
Since beginning operation as a hamburger restaurant chain in 1977, First-
Kitchen Ltd. has grown and developed in response to the needs of the times. In 2005, it began development based on a "city convenience restaurant" concept with the aim of going forward as a convenient, cordial and casual restaurant offering a variety of meals, including authentic pizza and pasta.
Subway Japan
Subway Japan Inc. handles the Japan operations of 'Subway', the most
popular U.S. sandwich restaurant chain, which is known for an original made-to-order approach that lets customers select their sandwich bread and filling according to personal preference. Developing its restaurants mainly under the franchise system, Subway Japan is promoting an "Eat Fresh!" campaign with the slogan, "Making delicious sandwiches with fresh bread baked at the shop daily, fresh vegetables and a fresh smile".
Myu Planning & Operators
Myu Planning & Operators Inc. is a comprehensive food service consulting company. Maximizing deployment of its business network and know-how, it proposes concepts and supports store establishment tailored to specific regions, not only in Japan but also in such overseas locations as China, Singapore and Mexico. It also conducts direct operation of some restaurants in Japan.
Suntory F&B International Group (SFBI Group)
Established in 2003, the SFBI Group conducts direct management of the 'Sun' casual Japanese dining restaurant chain, entrusted operation of the 'Restaurant Suntory' fine Japanese dining restaurants, and franchise operation of 'Pepper Lunch', among other businesses.
Grupo Restaurante Suntory Mexico
This group opened its first 'Restaurant Suntory' in Mexico City in 1970. It currently operates five restaurants in three cities, including Guadalajara, besides Mexico City. Having pleased its loyal local customers for 35 years, it received the prestigious 2005 Grand Prix of the Foreign Food Restaurant Business from the National Chamber of Restaurant and Food Industry.
