Constructing networks with overseas alcoholic beverage makers and conducting joint operation of noted overseas distilleries and wineries has enabled Suntory to acquire operations bases overseas for production of some of the world's best-known brands.
In Scotland, for example, we participate in the operation of Morrison Bowmore Distillers and conduct positive marketing activities for its BOWMORE single malt whisky, which is highly regarded by connoisseurs, as evidenced by its receipt of the highest awards in international competitions. In the wine field, we operate, alone or jointly, such distinguished wineries as Château Lagrange and Château Beychevelle in Bordeaux, France, and Weingut Robert Weil in Rheingau, Germany. MIDORI, Japan's most famous liqueur, maintains production facilities in Mexico and France as well as Japan. Already established as a global brand, MIDORI is expanding its international sales in more than 30 countries centered in the Americas, Australasia and Europe.
