Helping to Prepare Children to Serve as Leaders in the Coming Era
At a time when the trends toward a declining birthrate and shrinking and aging of the population continue unabated, the importance of finding ways to maintain social vitality is becoming increasingly apparent. Suntory considers developing people to provide leadership for the next era as another significant mission, and it provides various kinds of support to ensure that the children who will inherit the future grow up quickly and in good health.
Environment

- A nature observation activity, School of Forest & Water Aso
Besides conducting Suntory School of Forest & Water and Water Education programs to communicate the importance of water and the natural environment that fosters it, we engage in various environmental education and enlightenment activities. Examples include parent-child tours showcasing our plants' environmental preservation efforts and the creation and distribution of the "Eco Kids' Note" educational tool for environmental studies.
Music

- A Children's Day concert
We conduct a number of programs using Suntory Hall for children's musical education by giving them opportunities to experience music in a hall designed exclusively for classical music concerts. These programs include our Children's Day concert performed by an orchestra for an audience of children, our Children's Regular Concert and Carnegie Kids at Suntory Hall, a musical education program offered by in New York City's Carnegie Hall.
Art

- A Kids' Workshop
The Suntory Museum of Art gives viewing tours and workshops to provide children with enjoyable experiences in the splendors of Japanese culture and distributes the Omoshiro Bijutsu Cho ["interesting art book"] to teach them the pleasure of viewing art. The Suntory Museum of Art Tempozan offers a Kids' Workshop program in association with its exhibitions which brings children into direct contact with art and enables them to experience the pleasure of painting and creating their own artworks.
