Suntory Group's Environmental Initiatives

As a company that delivers the bounties of water and nature to our customers in the form of whisky, beer, wine, soft drinks, and health foods, we would like to protect both water, a precious resource of the world, and the environment that produces that water. Since 2005, the Suntory Group has been engaged in various environmental activities promoting our corporate message, "Suntory, Bringing Water to Life." Suntory Beverage & Food looks to create a new future for the Suntory Group by conducting activities to further reduce environmental loads and preserve water resources, the source of the non-alcoholic beverage market.

Environmental Policy

Suntory Beverage & Food Group positions environmental management as the foundation for its business activities as a company that delivers the bounties of water, land and sun, and promises to pass on a sustainable society filled with the radiance of life to the next generation.

Established on May 15, 2013

1. Achieving water sustainability
Sharing the idea of Suntory Group’s corporate message "Bringing Water to Life," we will use water with good care, which is the source of all life and our operating base, return it to the natural environment after it has been thoroughly purified, and continue to protect forests so that they produce more water than we use.
2. Maximizing resource usage by promoting the three Rs innovatively
Aiming at realizing a recycling-oriented society, we further promote the three Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) for raw materials, energy, etc., throughout all aspects of our business activities through ceaseless efforts at technological innovation, and develop a sustainable business.
3. Mobilizing group-wide efforts to become a low-carbon company
As a global citizen, we approach environmental conservation from a global perspective and carry out CO2 reductions throughout the entire value chain of our operation activities.
4. Dialogue with society and educating future generations
To protect nature's bounty which is to be passed on to the next generation, we continue dialogue with society, diligent in our disclosure of information, and do our best to provide environmental education to young people.
