Area:

about 150 hectares

The soil:

Volcanic loam with clay, silt, and sand in ideal proportions. Together with the sloping terrain, a lower layer consisting of deposits from a pyroclastic flow provides excellent natural drainage. To perfect the drainage, we have built special pipelines in the ground where necessary.

The grapes:

Red: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Black Queen, Pinot Noir
White: Chardonnay, Riesling Forte, Koshu, Riesling (Sauvignon Blanc is being replanted.)
