Supporting Challenged Sports

Suntory Group has launched Suntory Tohoku Sun-sun Project and engaging in activities to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake in the fields of "fishing industry", "supporting children", "challenged sports" and "support through culture and sports" in a scale of total of \10.8 billion.
In this stakeholder engagement, we have invited Yasushi Yamawaki (Director, Japanese Para-Sports Association and President, Japanese Paralympic Committee) and Yoko Takahashi (President, Japan Philanthropic Association) to exchange opinions on evaluation and advice for further development of supporting the popularization and enhancing challenged sports which started in fiscal 2014,

Held positions as vice predident and vice chairman of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NTK Line) and currently advisor of the same company. Taken position as director of Para-Sports Association in December 2011, vice president of Japanese Paralympic Committee from June 2012 then became president from 2014 and a governing board member of International Paralympic Committee from December 2013.

After joining Japan Philanthropic Association in 1991, after holding the positions of secretary general and director, became president in June 2001, engaging in promoting CSR focusing on social contribution of companies. She strives to prmote social contribution activities by private sector through consultation of social contribution activities by companies and matching companies and NPOs.
