Suntory recognized under the 2018 Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program

Suntory Holdings Limited and Suntory Beverage & Food Limited have been recognized under the 2018 Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program (large enterprise category) - White 500. This program is a joint initiative of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

The Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program recognizes outstanding enterprises engaged in health and productivity management programs in collaboration with insurers.

Suntory Group considers the health and well-being of its employees as the source of its competitiveness as a company. Based on this view, the company announced its Declaration on Health Promotion in 2014 and engages in activities to maintain and improve the health of its employees and their families.
The company started new Health and Productivity Management and Working Style Reform activities in 2016 with the objective to improve the lifestyle of each employee. Titled “Suntory Health Challenge,” the program includes health camps, seminars, health mileage* and other programs to ensure proactive and continuous health promotion. In 2017, as an initiative for global health management and environmental management, the Suntory Group organized the walking event “One Suntory Walk”, aiming for the nearly 38,000 employees in the world to participate in the event.

Moreover, in 2016, the company also developed and introduced the “Suntory GREEN+ (Green Plus)” points service linked to vending machines and smartphones, to support the company’s Health and Productivity Management.

*A system that allows employees to accumulate points on a portal site for their endeavors toward health promotion (radio exercise, walking, etc.) and working style reform (obtaining paid leaves, etc.). Accumulated points can be redeemed for prizes.


We will continue to support the health and well-being of each employee through Health and Productivity Management and Working Style Reform and strive to create new value with the vitality our employees bring to the company.
