Honey Lemongina

Reimagined Lemongina is a carbonated beverage that combines honey and a rich lemon flavor
Orangina package also renewed

Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) announces the nationwide launch of a Honey Lemongina, which will hit stores on May 24, 2016 (Tuesday) in Japan.

Orangina is a carbonated beverage containing fruit juice that has been a long-time favorite since it was first introduced in France in 1936. The drink was launched in Japan in 2012 and is popular for its fresh orange flavor and natural bitterness that is derived from orange peel extract. Sales of Blood Orangina, released in March as the latest addition to the Orangina brand, have been very strong thanks to a positive customer response.

SBF has now revamped Lemongina, released last year amid much market anticipation, into the new Honey Lemongina, which adds honey to create a richer flavor.
SBF also redesigned the Orangina package, which will be released on the same day.

●New Honey Lemongina
<Characteristics of the product’s flavor>
Honey Lemongina was developed by taking a hint from the homemade honey lemon slices that are widely popular in France. Maintaining the authentic fresh fruit taste achieved through Orangina’s proprietary blending technology, we combined this with the vivid aroma of honey favored in Europe with the sweet, mild aroma of honey familiar to Japanese consumers. Honey Lemongina offers both familiar and authentic flavors.

<Package characteristics>
We selected a dark green color to represent the rich, authentic flavor. Using a logo and text designed using a handwritten style, we created a package that presents a handmade feel.

●Reimaged Orangina
Leaving the popular flavor of Orangina untouched, we redesigned the product package. We added gradation to a metallic blue label to create a design featuring vivid colors image to compliment the feeling of fresh fruit.

Concurrent with the release of the redesigned Orangina and new Honey Lemongina, we will launch an aggressive marketing campaign featuring television commercials, public transportation ads, WEB content. These and other communication activities will be conducted to further generate buzz for Orangina as the product series marks the 5th anniversary since its release in Japan.
