Suntory Beverage & Food selected as
“Nadeshiko Brand” for exhibiting excellence in
encouraging women to take an active role in the workplace

Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) is proud to announce that it was selected as a “Nadeshiko Brand,” for exhibiting excellence in encouraging women to take an active role in the workplace. Selections are jointly made by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). The official announcement took place at the Symposium for the Commendation Ceremony of Diversity Management Selection 100 and the Announcement of the Nadeshiko Brand at Iino Hall (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on Wednesday March 18th, 2015.
The Nadeshiko Brand Initiative is a joint program conducted by METI and TSE. The selection is made from TSE First Section companies in each industry that avidly encourage women to play active roles in the workplace. This includes the provision of an environment that makes it possible for women to continue their careers. The selection candidates, companies that disclose performance in this area, are evaluated in three categories—policies, initiatives, and performance—based on two criteria, “career support for women” and “contribution to work-life balance for female employees.” Another factor for selection is ROE*.
