Hibiki 21 Years Old takes World's Best Blended Whisky prize at the World Whiskies Awards 2013Honored as "World's Best" three times in four years

At the World Whiskies Awards 2013 held by Whisky Magazine, a publication for whisky enthusiasts, Suntory Liquors Limited's Hibiki 21 Years Old was awarded the World's Best Blended Whisky prize. The award ceremony was held on Thursday, March 21 in London.

Now in its seventh year, the World Whiskies Award, held by Whisky Magazine, is a world-wide whisky contest. Representative whiskies are selected from each of the countries submitting entries, including the UK and Japan, before the final judgment. Final judging takes place in six categories, including Blended Whisky and Single Malt Whisky. Winners in each category are selected based on rigorous blind tasting.
This year, Hibiki 21 Years Old was selected as world's best blended whisky, with judges calling it "a great and graceful whisky with the nose, the palate and the finish, all well-integrated." Suntory has won a number of awards at the World Whiskies Awards, with Hibiki 21 Years Old being honored with the World's Best Blended Whisky Prize for the third time, the first two being in 2010 and 2011.
