Pepsi Nex Zero Selling Well in Japan
Over 3 million cases sold since redesign 1½ months ago

Pepsi Nex Zero, redesigned on Tuesday, March 4 by Suntory Beverage & Food Limited, has been selling well in Japan, with sales volume of over 3 million cases for the first month-and-a-half since its release (March 4 – April 19). This is the fastest pace for a new Pepsi product since the company began selling Pepsi products in 1998.

By utilizing the knowledge of PepsiCo and making new use of stevia, a plant-derived sweetener, Pepsi Nex Zero is a "innovatively delicious cola despite being calorie-free" and has the rich flavor of cola with a naturally sharp aftertaste. Many consumers have said it "really tastes better."

In the future we plan to promote Pepsi Nex Zero with a TV commercial featuring actor Shun Oguri as Japanese folk tale character Momotaro and a promotional campaign starting in May in which consumers can win original QUO pre-paid cards.
