Third Overseas Country in its 16-year history After Vietnam and Thailand
Suntory Holdings Limited will launch its unique next-generation environmental education program, Suntory Mizuiku-Education Program for Nature and Water in Indonesia starting Monday, July 22, to teach children the importance of water.
With “Mizu To Ikiru” as its promise to our stakeholders, Suntory Group has promoted various global water-related initiatives, including activities to preserve and restore nature, based on the group-wide Sustainable Water Philosophy. In March 2015, the group launched its Suntory Mizuiku-Education Program for Nature and Water overseas for the first time in Vietnam, receiving very high reputation from participating children, teachers, and local government.
Asia is dealing with various issues related to water sanitation and water resources. Viewing the region as a high-priority area for sharing the importance and value of water, the group will now follow its success in Vietnam and Thailand by launching the program in Indonesia.

In collaboration with a group company Suntory Garuda and local foundations and NGOs, the program will benefit some 1,000 people at 14 Indonesian elementary schools in Gowa in South Sulawesi, Banjarbaru in South Kalimantan, Sidoarjo in East Java, and Tangerang in Banten.
This unique learning program will provide lessons that teach the importance of water, sanitation management, and the need to conserve water resources. The program consists of units that contribute to improve Indonesian children’s environmental awareness, including “Basic Knowledge About Water,” “Water Pollution and Ways for Eliminating Pollution,” and “What Can I Do?”.
