Suntory to release “ Rivercrest California Fruity Red ” & “ Wild Vines Blueberry Cabernet ” from E&J Gallo Winery

Suntory Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, President: Nobutada Saji) is to release a new wine “ Rivercrest California Fruity Red ” from Rivercrest collection of E&J Gallo Winery, starting from 9th of March, 2004, across Japan nationwide. The wine offers fruity and delicate sweetish taste.
Suntory is as well to release “ Wild Vines ” series, a sparkling fruit wine collection from E&J Gallo Winery, that are “ Blueberry Cabernet ” (Sizes : 750ml & 250ml), “ Blackberry Merlot ”(Size : 250ml), and “ Peach Chardonnay ” (Size : 250ml), starting from 23rd of March, 2004.

E&J Gallo Winery is one of the world famed wineries based in California, USA. , and recognized widely for their superb quality. The winery received prestigious Premio Gran VinItaly awards in “ VINITALY ” , that is the worldwide reputed wine competition in Italy, in 1998, 2001, and 2002, and they became the first ever to receive the award for three times.

“ Rivercrest California Fruity Red ” is a sweet tasting wine, which was developed to tailor Japanese taste, and it will be sold limited in Japan.

“ Rivercrest California Fruity Red ”
“ Rivercrest ” is a table wine made from grapes that had been grown under plenty of Californian sunshine. “ Fruity Red ” is a casual wine that offers delicate fruity and sweetish taste with ruby red dazzling color.

“ Wild Vines Blueberry Cabernet ”
“ Wild Vines ” is a new type of wine, adding refreshing fruity taste to the authentic Californian varietal wine. “ Blueberry Cabernet ” is one of “ Wild Vines ” series blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and blueberry. The tannin comprised in Cabernet and the sweetish taste in blueberry creates superb harmony to give refreshing sparkling fruit wine. It is recommended to serve cold to sharpen its taste.

Suntory also is to release 250 ml sized “ Wild vines Blueberry Cabernet ” , along with 250 ml sized “ Blackberry Merlot ” and “ Peach Chardonnay ” , which two are already released in March 2003.
“ Sparkling ”, “ Fruit wine ”, and “ Small sized ” are the three most special features of “ Wild Vines ” series to be promoted, that is to explore its brand new casual wine drinking style to the market.
