Suntory Limited has won a Silver Medal at the 13th Annual Chardonnay du Monde, an international competition held in Burgundy, France, for the Tsutaishizakaen Chardonnay 2003 from its Tomi no oka Winery.
Held annually in the birthplace of Chardonnay, this authoritative event is the preeminent competition for this type of wine. It draws entries from Chardonnay producers all over the world.
Tsutaishizakaen 2003 is produced exclusively using grapes from the Tsutaishizakaen vineyard at Suntory's Tomi no oka Winery in Yamanashi Prefecture. The vineyards there are optimal for growing Chardonnay grapes. Suntory takes full advantage of the distinctive character of this terroir.
