Suntory Limited will market Zero-Nama, a low-carb, low-malt beer starting March 4, 2008.

Zero-Nama happoshu, which offers genuine great taste with a lower carbohydrate content, is expected to be popular among a broad range of consumers as people become increasingly health-conscious.

Low-Carb Brewing
Optimal conditions of temperature and timing during the brewing process help break down the sugar content significantly. Under these conditions, the highest degree of fermentation (apparent attenuation) among similar Suntory beverages was established to produce this low-carb* happoshu.
This low-carb beverage was developed to satisfy beer and happoshu drinkers with its authentic beer taste.
