Suntory Hall Silvester Concert 2025
Symphonie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien
Suntory Hall is pleased to present the popular Silvester Concert 2025 featuring the Symphonie-Orchester der Volksoper Wien (Symphony Orchestra of the Volksoper Vienna=SOVOP) on Wednesday December 31, 2025, at 14:00.
For 35 years, Suntory Hall has celebrated New Year’s Eve and the New Year with the Symphony Orchestra of the Volksoper Wien and renowned singers, who entertain us with selections of delightful Viennese waltzes and polkas that everyone will be familiar with. In German-speaking countries, December 31 is known as St. Silvester Day and traditionally concerts are held. Suntory Hall’s Silvester Concert is a matineé (14:00 start) so that after the performance people will have plenty of time to welcome in the New Year.
The programme includes familiar masterpieces such as numbers from Johann Strauss Jr’s operetta Die Fledermaus, a New Year’s Eve favourite, and Suppé’s Leichte Kavallerie overture. The concert will be led by conductor Ola Rudner, who has appeared regularly at Suntory Hall’s Silvester and New Year concerts. As soloists, we are thrilled to welcome Vienna-born soprano Kristiane Kaiser, Kammersängerin of the Volksoper Wien, for the first time, and Slovakian tenor Miroslav Dvorský who makes a return after six years. They will be joined on stage by the elegant dancers of the Ballett Ensemble SOVOP.
Additionally, this year we have prepared Premium Tickets, allowing you to enjoy the concert in elegant style from S- seats on the lower floor, complete with Laurent-Perrier champagne served in the Blue Rose exclusive lounge.
Please enjoy an elegant afternoon to round off 2025 at Suntory Hall.
