Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy Concerts
Since its launch in 2010, Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (Cello) has served as the Academy’s Director. The Coaching Faculty also includes Koichiro Harada, Kikuei Ikeda, Wakako Hanada (Violin), Kazuhide Isomura (Viola), Hakuro Mori (Cello), and Shigeo Neriki (Piano).
The Academy has nurtured many outstanding young chamber musicians. Among its alumni are Aoi Trio (First Prize, ARD International Music Competition Munich 2018) and Quartet Integra (First Prize, Bartók World Competition 2021; Second Prize, ARD International Music Competition Munich 2022), while more recent successes include HONO Quartet (Second Prize, Osaka International Chamber Music Competition & Festa 2023) and Quartet Fugue (Second Prize, Osaka International Chamber Music Competition & Festa 2026).
Held every June, Suntory Hall Chamber Music Garden serves as an important showcase for the Academy’s fellows and alumni. Furthermore, the Academy will present a special concert in September to mark Quartet Fugue’s recent achievement.
