Enjoy the Whisky Museum, shop, Hakushu bar, restaurant and other facilities at your own pace.

  • Suntory Museum of Whisky

    Here you can learn about the history and craftsmanship of the Hakushu Single Malt Whisky as well as the history and culture of whisky itself through rare exhibits.
  • In the Barrel

    We have whiskies, snacks to go with them, and a range of other products that are available only at this distillery. They make great souvenirs and gifts!
    * Due to irregular shipping, distillery limited whiskies and some domestic whiskies could be out of stock.
    Please be noted that there is a limit of one bottle per customer on these products.
  • White Terrace

    At the mountain forest restaurant "White Terrace," enjoy dishes that pair well with whiskies. Some dishes are made with local ingredients.
  • Hakushu Bar

    Including the Hakushu Brand and some limited edition whiskies, take an adventure experiencing the range of Suntory's whiskies.
  • Bird sanctuary

    Many wild birds visit the forest trail course throughout the year. Enjoy the nature of Hakushu while listening to the chirping of wild birds. *The Bird Sanctuary is currently closed due to maintenance.

Guided by our staff, you can enjoy the sound, temperature and smell of the distillery, watch the malt whisky production process in action, and observe the dedication of the craftsmen. After that, we will take you to the guestroom where you can taste The Hakushu Single Malt Whisky and the component whiskies (not for sale). This tour lets you fully experience Hakushu distillery as well as The Hakushu Single Malt Whisky.

  • 1.Assemble at the Whisky Museum. Learn about the natural environment of Hakushu distillery and the reason why this location was selected.
    * Please note that the tour meeting point may change without a notice.
  • 2.Watch the malt whisky production process that gives birth to diverse whiskies and learn about the craftsmen's dedication to producing a variety of distinctive tastes.
  • 3.Let the aroma of whisky envelop you inside the warehouse. Feel the unending flow of time amid aging  casks of 10, 20, and 30 years.
  • 4.After viewing the production process, it's time for some tasting. Enjoy the component whiskies from which "Hakushu" is made along with the Hakushu Single Malt Whisky.
