This work is a classic example of the ash-glazed tea bowls modeled on Chinese celadons and produced in large quantities in the Seto region during the Muromachi period. Traces of being thrown on the wheel remain on its sides, and the lower part of the body has been trimmed with a spatula to form a ring foot. The yellowish-green ash glaze applied to its interior and exterior has developed fine crackles. The trailings of glaze down the exterior and pooled glaze on the interior have both developed a dark green hue. (Paragon or Puzzle?
