After being formed in a cylindrical shape, the body of this work was trimmed to be considerably shorter, strongly pressed in from the front and back, and then further trimmed, vertically, with the spatula. Three ornamental knobs have been added as accents on one side of the front. The vase has vitrified in firing, producing an overall reddish-brown color and has the bursts of white feldspar granules characteristic of Shigaraki ware. (Paragon or Puzzle?
